The Spark

It all began on February 27, 2023, during a spa day with my sister-in-law in Tylösand. We decided to join a small, hands-on scrub-making workshop. Watching how easily raw salt, sugar, herbs, & oils could transform into a personalized wellness product sparked a passion.

The Experimets

Back home in Lisbon, my kitchen turned into a mini-laboratory. For months, I experimented with different natural ingredients, perfecting formulas that were not only deeply nourishing for the skin but also naturally long-lasting, with soothing aroma.

Bringing Back the Charm of Artisanal Markets

What started as a passionate hobby quickly grew into a bigger vision. I love local craft markets, but over the years, many have become so expensive that they've lost their original charm.

My mission became clear: To create high-quality, exclusive face & body scrubs that feel like a luxury experience, with a reasonable price.

Before launching, I gathered a trusted circle of friends to test the products. They absolutely loved them! With their feedback, I fine-tuned the recipes, perfected the textures, & finalized my signature scents. By December 2025, Baby Skim officially debuted at local markets in the vibrant neighborhood of Graça. The response from the community was overwhelmingly positive.

From Market Stalls to Your Doorstep

What began as intimate conversations over market stalls evolved into something bigger. Reqests were coming from people beyond Lisbon. That's how Baby Skim found its way online.

• Waterless & Dry Formulas: By keeping the scrubs dry, their shelf life is naturally extended without relying on harsh chemical preservatives, while preserving the high-quality vitamins of the ingredients.
• Skin-Friendly Oils: I carefully researched & selected gentle, nourishing oils that are highly effective for all skin types (including delicate skin).
• Purely Artisanal: I even craft my own homemade vanilla oil fuse to ensure that all elements are 100% natural.

Behind the Name: Why "Baby Skim"?

In Portuguese, words ending in "m" are often pronounced with a soft, nasal "ng" sound. When you say "Skim" with that beautiful Portuguese accent, it sounds like "Skin"!

That is the heart of the brand: an irresistible glowy, soft & healthy "baby skin."
